The rising cost of waste material disposal and a growing consciousness for the environment also contribute to the increasing importance of waste wood recycling. The term “waste wood” includes all woods and wood-based materials that have come to the end of their product lifespan and are thus considered waste.

Processed for thermal utilization or recycling
During the recovery process, the waste wood is shredded and separated from foreign matter such as metal parts. The resulting wood chips are either recycled or utilized for energy production, depending on their classification grade. Recycled waste wood is often used as raw material for the production of chipboard or other wood-based materials. In case of thermal utilization, the wood chips are used as high-grade fuel in biomass or thermal power stations.

Shred pallets efficiently and economically
Our Pallet Shredder were developed specifically for the shredding of single-use pallets, damaged Euro pallets and packaging wood. Depending on the required throughput, we offer a range of shredders that were designed with the shredding of pallets and packaging wood in mind. As the hopper design is adapted to your individual requirements, loading may be done either by wheel loader, forklift, grabber or even manually.
Depending on the pallet cutter, throughputs of 1 t/h up to 25 t/h may be reached. The material is removed by conveyor belt, screw conveyor, spiral conveyor or suction system, depending on the required solution. The granulate size will range from 15 to 100mm, depending on the diameter of the screen.
Metal-free wood chips
Metal parts such as nails, screws, clamps or metal fittings are not a problem for the cutting system: the metal is shredded together with the pallets and packaging wood, then removed by a metal separation system and collected in a separate container.
General information on pallets and wood packaging
Pallets and wood packaging are an integral part of modern-day transport and warehousing operations. However, the production of euro pallets, single-use pallets, special pallets and wood packaging in general generates a high volume of residual wood, which may be leveraged as a source of energy. In combination with waste wood from damaged pallets or wood packaging, for instance vegetable or fruit crates, this is an opportunity to generate new fuels for thermal recovery. Residual and waste wood is particularly relevant for pallet manufacturers, fruit and vegetable wholesalers, gardening centers and the wood packaging industry.

MSA-F Series Single Shaft Shredders are small to medium size reduction machines suitable for processing a wide range of materials to a uniform particle size. The products can often be sold as is, or be sent for further processing through additional equipment. MSA-TW series (for a throughput up of 9.0-12.0 Tons/H)
MSA-TW Series Single Shaft Shredders are heavy duty size reduction machines suitable for processing a wide range of materials. These shredders are ideal for especially hard and voluminous products. The large shredding chamber and loading hopper capacity, combined with the PLC controlled horizontal ram pusher ensures optimum feeding of material to the rotor therefore achieving the most efficient performance.
